Who We Are

Do you love lore? Do you enjoy learning about the who, what, where, and why of a story? Do you get excited when you talk about legends, battles, and plot-twists? Or maybe its the people of history that turn you on. Either way, joining The Lorists may very well be the best way to combine your *ahem* inner nerd and your love for Wildstar.

We are a community passionate about Wildstar and the lore of Nexus. All races, classes, and paths are welcome to join The Lorists, the only requirement is to have an interest in lore and being a part of the community at large. (Also! If you are part of a different server, faction, etc. than any of our current The Lorists Divisions, make sure to PM me and we can discuss setting one up, wherever you are!)

Not only are we exploring, collecting, and searching for the lore of Wildstar, but we are taking our knowledge and compiling it into a Wildstar Lore Database. This is where you have the chance to take what you are most excited about and share your expertise with the Wildstar community.

What about RP?

So, do we RP? The answer is…maybe? Whether or not our members RP is completely up to our members themselves. What we hope to be is a community that is working towards the collection, compilation, and distribution of lore information within the Wildstar Community.

Can your RP Character be the vessel through which this is done? Of course! Let your RP character’s inner scientist become a part of their character, write articles and reports on what you have discovered in Wildstar in your character’s voice, have your character form clubs and societies within The Lorists to maximize your RP time and enjoyment.

Don’t want to RP? There is no pressure whatsoever to RP. You can dabble in RP, try it out once or twice, or just not do it. We hope that our community will grow large enough and have a strong group of members so that the players within The Lorists can choose to play however they want to play. One thing is for sure though, we love lore and we love to share our knowledge with those around us.

I Love Lore, but I Also Love to Raid (or Dungeon or PvP or etc.)

Okay, so I’m interested but I don’t want to join The Lorists if that means I have to give up Raiding, PvPing, Dungeoning, etc. etc. etc.

Good news, cupcake. If you are passionate about lore but also have a love affair (cheater!) with some more ‘hardcore’ gaming events, it doesn’t have to be a one-or-the-other deal. Within The Lorists, there are positions. The most obvious one is Guildmaster (that’s me). Think of me as a President. Then there is a cabinet. Within the cabinet are Head Raider, Head PvPer, Head Dungeoner, etc. (all names have not been solidified. If you have a super-awesome name for those positions, let me know). The cabinet is dynamic so you can add a seat with cabinet approval if you feel there should be, say, Head Recruiter.

So basically, if you want to be a part of another aspect of the game, contact one of the cabinet members or make your own micro-community.

The TL;DR (too long; didn’t read) Version

What we want to do is create a community with a large, over-arching common goal and vessel through which they can display their work (the Wildstar Lore Database). The people within the community can decide which micro-communities to become a part of and which they want to take leadership in. We want people who are passionate and excited about the game and being a part of the community, both in The Lorists and in Wildstar at large.
